Cebit 2009: Does DDR3 and DDR2 memory
Besides its regular fleet of X58 and P45 based motherboards, MSI has showcased one new motherboard that caught our attention, the 790GX based combo motherboard.
The new 790GX-8D comes with eight memory slots, has second generation of MSI's DrMOS, has has four DDR3 and four DDR2 slots with support for DDR2 1066 and DDR3-1333 memory. of course, the motherboard supports both AM2+ and AM3 processors and has two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots with support for CrossfireX.
Other specifications include six SATA ports, single eSATA port and features bunch of on-board buttons including the new OC Dial Overclocking device which should bring easier overclocking for those that want to get some overclocking done without touching any of those "complicated" BIOS settings.
The board does feature a cheap looking brown colored PCB, but this one is meant for a mainstream part of the market and shouldn't be a part of the expensive motherboard offer.
