In addition to the P55 based Trinergy and Fuzion, MSI's Big Bang series will get a new member based on the Intel X58 chipset with support for LGA 1366 processors, 16-phase DrMOS PWM, Hi-c Caps, SuperPipe cooling system, and a total of six PCI-Express x16 slots for some wicked CrossfireX and quad-SLI action.
The rest of the features include two SATA 6.0Gbps and six SATA 3.0Gbps port, two USB 3.0 and two eSATA ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, Firewire, Quantum Wave Audio card, Active Phase Switching, OC Genie for overclocking, V-Check points, OC Dashboard (external OC device), high quality tantalum capacitors and much more.
One thing that caught our eye is that you'll need quite a power supply to run this motherboard. It needs two 8-pin power connetors and an extra 6-pin PCI-Express power connector, all just to keep the motherboard stable for extreme overclocking. After looking at these specifications there is simply no question that this board is specially designed for enthusiasts and hardcore overclockers.

At the VR-Zone side of town, even tooth fairies communicate on the 2.4GHz consumer wireless protocol. No surprises that the angels brought us high resolution shots of the upcoming "confidential" board.

The cost of using tantalum capacitors have made them prohibitive in motherboard design. It looks like MSI is using a generous splattering of them on the new Big Bang XPower. Q1 in 2010, and it already looks like we're supposed to spell "promising" with the "I" before the "M."
The new Big Bang XPower should come in time for CeBIT, and while the price hasn't been announced we are pretty positive that this one will be everything but cheap, but premium, enthusiast, and hardcore overclocking products always were expensive.
