Fuelled by AMD's 890FX chipset, the MSI 890FXA-GD70 adopts a black and blue colour scheme, together with a host of MSI technologies ranging from 'Unlock CPU Core' to favourites such as OC Genie.

Supporting upcoming AMD hexa-core 'Thuban' CPUs, MSI focuses on what it terms as 'Military Class Components' which, the company stresses, will enhance stability and product life. Snazzy names, such as Icy Choke - relating to low temperature inductors and Hi-c CAP - which refers to highly conductive polymer capacitors - are thrown round to show that MSI means business.

Targeted at the advanced user, the 890FXA-GD70 is beefed up with USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gb/s support, whilst cooling duties are taken care of by the company's Flat HeatPipe contraption which, it is claimed, has the credentials to maintain an average operating temperature of 52 degrees Celsius, even when the system is under duress. At the time of going to press, the testing environment in question has not been expanded upon.

Pricing information hasn't been made available at the moment, yet expect to see the 890FXA-GD70 hit retail soon.
