This morning at 06.00 AMD released its latest graphics card, Radeon HD 5830, that we have tested but wasnt that amazed (still just available in Swedish not sure if its worth the effort), but MSI wants to change our opinion with its R5830 Twin Frozr II. It sports the customary "military class components" such as solid state capacitors, solid chokes and polymer capacitors for the GPU power supply for best possible durability.
On top of all that MSI has chosen to use the Twin Frozr II cooling, as the name revealed, that is used with a lot of other similar cards and from experience we know that it is both quiet and very efficient with its four heatpipes and dual 80mm fans.
Remaining features include support from MSIs own Afterburner overclocking software and voltage tweaking, which should be enough to push the graphics circuit over the 925MHz we managed with the reference sample.
MSI has great faith in its HD 5830 offspring and says right out loud that the card is the best around. Whether this is correct or not remains to be seen, but we can at least conclude that they have made a serious effort.
